I’m not sure how Daniel’s friends felt as they were “escorted” into the fiery furnace. Did this force them to pray more or pray differently? I know they trusted God and accepted whatever would happen to them that day.

I know Delhi is not a ‘fiery furnace’, but it certainly felt like it as we visited different historical sites during our prayer walk in Delhi. There were times I wasn’t sure if I really could push through the day without griping or complaining. Between the crowds and the heat, it was tough- and hard to concentrate on prayer for India. Towards the end of the day, I wasn’t sure if I had the physical strength to make it. It was at these times I ‘really’ had to simply trust God to bring me through the ‘fiery furnace’. I prayed continually and the more I prayed, the greater peace I received… the greater strength I was given.
Although completely exhausted physically, I had such peace and joy upon returning back to where we were staying. I doubt my joy can even compare to what Daniel’s friends felt as they walked out of the furnace, but I know we all walked by faith in our Great Jehovah.
