It is said that there are around 100 million street children around the world and that there are 18 million street children in India alone.  If you are a math person like I am, you would realize that 18% of street children live in India.

In James 1:27, Peter instructs us that we are to look after the orphans and widows or as it says in the Message “Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.”

Victor and Simini were both called to be a father and mother to the orphaned and rejected children of Northern India.  Before these two had even met, God was calling them out of their comfort zones of Southern India to work in areas that the Gospel has not reached yet.  Victor and Simini meet while they were working in children’s home where God called them it was time for them to have their own home for children. These two individuals have stepped out in faith to be the father and mother to the orphans in an unreached area.  Today they have 27 children currently living with them along with 7 staff members.

This home is not just a place for orphans but it is a family. Many of these children come from broken homes, abusive situations, children of sex workers, poverty, and abandonment. The orphanage is a home for the children to receive redeeming love, a full, healthy diet, a great education, and a healthy community of believers.
